Die Operationalisierte Psychodynamische Diagnostik (OPD) ist ein multiaxiales Diagnostikmanual. Es erweitert die symptomatologisch-deskriptiv orientierte Klassifikation psychischer Störungen um eine psychodynamische Dimension. Mittels multiaxialer Diagnostik werden die Bereiche Krankheitserleben und Behandlungsvoraussetzungen (Achse I), Beziehung (Achse II), Konflikt (Achse III), Struktur (Achse IV) sowie Psychische und Psychosomatische Störungen (Achse V) erfasst. Der operationalisierte Ansatz soll eine hohe Reliabilität in der psychodynamischen Diagnostik ermöglichen, was zumindest für den wissenschaftlichen Bereich gezeigt werden konnte. Mit dem multiaxialen Ansatz möchte die OPD der Komplexität psychischer Phänomene besser gerecht werden.

Abstract: Operationalized Psychodynamic Diagnosis (OPD)

The Operationalized Psychodynamic Diagnosis (OPD) is a multiaxial diagnostic and classification system. The OPD extends the ICD-10 classification, which is oriented to symptoms and descriptions, with the psychodynamic dimensions. It is based on the axes: Experience of illness and prerequisites for treatment (axis 1), Interpersonal relations (axis 2), Conflict (axis 3), Structure (axis 4) and Mental and psychosomatic disorders (axis 5). The patient’s psychodynamics should be evaluated according to a checklist. Studies show good reliability in a research context and indicate good validity for the individual axes. The multiaxial diagnostic wants to characterize the complexity of mental health and disorders better than a solitary symptom orientated classification.
